Please read the following booking policy carefully and retain a copy for your records.
Booking Conditions
To confirm your reservation, full prepayment is required at the time of booking. This guarantees your spot and secures the tour.
Payments can be made using Visa, MasterCard, or American Express via our website’s secure payment gateway.
To avoid payment issues, please notify your credit card company or bank in advance, as some transactions may otherwise be automatically declined.
We prioritize your privacy and security. Best of France Tours strictly does not share, sell, or disclose your personal or payment information. Our website and online payment system are fully secure.
Cancellation Policy & Fees
- All cancellations must be made by email.
- Full refund: If canceled at least 7 days before the tour date (Paris/CET time).
- No refund: For cancellations made within 7 days of the tour date.
- No refunds will be issued for clients who voluntarily leave a tour once it has started.
- For tours including pre-purchased entrance tickets (e.g., Versailles, Louvre, Orsay, Eiffel Tower), the cost of these tickets—including a 20% VAT—is non-refundable under any circumstances.
- No tour can be confirmed unless the client contacts us in advance to check availability. We clearly state this on every page of our website.
If a client books a tour less than 48 hours before the requested date without prior contact, we cannot guarantee availability.
If we are unable to confirm the tour, a full refund will be issued.
Punctuality & No-Show Policy
For tours or transfers with scheduled start times:
- Please be ready at the lobby of your hotel or designated meeting point on time.
- Your guide will wait up to 30 minutes after the agreed departure time.
- If no contact is made within that time, it will be considered a "no-show" and the tour will be forfeited with no refund issued.
Changes to Bookings
- We will do our best to accommodate changes, but they cannot be guaranteed, especially for last-minute requests involving Versailles or major museums.
- Tour prices are subject to change without notice due to currency fluctuations.
Unforeseen Events
We are not responsible for events outside our control, including but not limited to:
- Acts of God
- Strikes
- Flight or train delays/cancellations
- Civil disturbances
In case of strikes at major sites (e.g., Versailles, Louvre, Orsay), we will offer an alternative tour of equal value on the same day. If the alternative is declined, the tour will be non-refundable.
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance (trip cancellation, medical, interruption coverage).
Tours missed due to flight or train disruptions are non-refundable.
Weather Policy
Our tours operate rain or shine. We do not offer refunds or changes for poor weather forecasts (e.g., rain in Giverny, Versailles, or Normandy). However, in the case of dangerous snow conditions, we reserve the right to cancel the tour for safety reasons and will issue a full refund.
Museum & Site-Specific Tours (Versailles, Louvre, etc.)
For private guided tours requiring museum reservations:
- We must confirm "right to speak" permits and skip-the-line access directly with the museum.
- Tour confirmation depends on the museum’s availability.
- If the museum is fully booked on your chosen date, we will:
- Work with you to find an alternative date, or
- Issue a full refund.
Tour Duration & Overtime Charges
Tour durations are specified at the time of booking.
- Example: A 12-hour tour with a 7:00 AM pickup concludes around 7:00 PM.
- Any additional time (e.g., delays caused by the client) will incur an extra charge of €80 per hour.
Your cooperation with the schedule ensures a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.
Inclusions & Exclusions
Included in Chauffeur-Driven Tours:
- All taxes and insurance
- Gasoline and vehicle maintenance
- Highway tolls and parking fees
- Driver’s salary and expenses
Not included:
- Personal expenses and meals
- Tips/gratuities for the driver-guide (at your discretion)
- Entrance fees, unless otherwise specified
