Private Van Gogh Tour from Paris
Meet your driver-guide at your hotel or private apartment in Paris and travel in a comfortable air-conditioned van to the serene countryside north of Paris. Located just 32 km (20 miles) from Paris, Auvers-sur-Oise is a quaint village with fewer than 7,000 inhabitants, often described as an open-air museum because of its rich artistic heritage.
This village has attracted famous painters including Camille Pissarro, Paul Cézanne, Charles-François Daubigny, Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot, and Henri Rousseau, in addition to Van Gogh himself. During your tour, you’ll explore the key sites where Van Gogh lived, worked, and created masterpieces in his final days.
Van Gogh in Auvers-sur-Oise
Vincent Van Gogh moved through 37 locations over 38 years before finally arriving in Auvers on May 20, 1890, where he settled at the request of his brother Theo Van Gogh. Under the care of Dr. Paul Gachet, Van Gogh created 77 paintings in just 70 days. Tragically, he died at the age of 37 in Auberge Ravoux, where his room remains preserved.
Some of Van Gogh’s most famous works include:

Sunflowers
Self-Portrait
The Red Vineyard
Despite selling very few paintings during his lifetime, Van Gogh’s legacy remains globally celebrated.
